As a Volunteer Organization, our individual contributions are what make all the difference.

Like any other organization, we try to allow each member to "play to their strengths," and make contributions, no matter how small or large, whether in kind or service. We look forward to hearing from you.

AHS Feedback Form

The following are just a a handful of suggestions for volunteer opportunities, merely the "tip of the iceberg." We would love to hear from you if you would like to volunteer in other ways.

Greeters - Needed on Sundays this summer at the Living Museum, Pine Grove Schoolhouse and Derrin House – no experience needed – 2:00-5:00pm June through September. Walking tour brochures will be provided to give to visitors explaining highlights of each building/property. We just need you to be there to welcome them.

Gardeners – A committee has formed to create new and maintain existing gardens at the Living Museum and Derrin House. If you have a green thumb, we need you!

Handy People – If you have skills for simple repair that you can lend to us from time to time, we would appreciate it! We need on-call help for minor electrical work, woodwork, window repair, moving of displays, etc. Tool boxes are located at each museum.

Hospitality – The Society has various activities/events during the year. We need a committee to help with set up, clean up, bringing baked goods, greeting visitors at events, etc. If you can be “on call” to help with this, please let us know.
