Recognition of Local Businesses and Organizations We gladly recognize all businesses who have donated their services to help Avon Historical Society preserve our common heritage. Through their charitable contributions they have helped the Society preserve Avon's past for the future of the entire community. When possible, links to these companies' websites are provided. In all cases, some type of contact information is provided. Having listed them here alphabetically for ease of searching, at the very least, we ask that should you have any upcoming projects on your "to do list," please keep these businesses in mind as you seek bids. As you can imagine, without their help and support, Avon Historical Society's continuous restoration projects would be so much more complicated.... AIC of Bristol, CT 395 North Main Street Bristol, CT 06010 In the words of Derrin House's Curator, Len Tolisano, "AIC has been instrumental in the ongoing restoration of Derrin House. Their tasks included removal of the exterior asphalt siding along with repair and painting of the exterior. On the interior they removed several layers of flooring and wallpaper, and are now in the process of patching and painting the walls. We could not have accomplished as much as we have without them." You can visit their Website at: AIC Bristol CT Cyr Construction Co. LLC 186 Old Farms Road John Cyr has been actively involved with Avon Historical Society for several years, having donated the labor for replacing the roof of the Derrin House and donated labor and material to replace the roof of the Living Museum.
